NRSG 370 Professional Role Develop

This course provides an overview of the historical, theoretical, and conceptual basis for professional nursing practice from a Christian worldview. Through the concepts of the nursing metaparadigm (nurse, person, health, and environment), students will explore the role of the professional nurse to apply principles of patient safety, person-centered care, and quality improvement to nursing practice. Opportunities for professional role development will be considered. Students will analyze the domains of interprofessional collaboration and other standards, such as QSEN, to enhance nursing practice.
