ENGL 494 Literature Seminar

Seminar students collectively read and discuss selected literary texts as a means of thinking through what it means to study and teach literature in the context of Christian faith commitments. Includes readings in biblical texts and theoretical essays exploring why we read and teach literary texts. Students simultaneously complete individual research projects on literary texts or topics of their own choosing, including class presentation and peer reviews of drafts in process, and articulate their current understanding of the relationship between the discipline of literary study and their Christian faith.
