NUTR 210 Food around the World

This course is designed to provide students an understanding of food in the context of non-western cultures. It introduces students to techniques for intercultural communication and examines the influence of history, religion and health practices on non-western cultural cuisines. Students will study the dietary practices of diverse groups in various areas of the world and prepare foods from these cultures in the laboratory.
