NURS 623 Theoretical Foundations, DNP Role Development, & Project Planning
This course examines nursing theory and its application to evidence-based practice. The role of the DNP prepared nurse will be explored across a variety of specialties. Project planning will include the identification of a clinical problem, development of a PICO(T) question, and completion of review of literature and evidence matrix for future translation in healthcare settings. All DNP project courses (NURS 623, 632, 731, and 732) must be taken sequentially. If interruption in project course sequence occurs, students must repeat the course(s) or gain approval for progression from the DNP program coordinator.
