CHEM 213 Chemistry for Nursing
This course, specifically designed to provide a molecular perspective of living systems to nurses, covers the foundational principles of chemistry necessary to describe the structure, properties, and function of biomolecules. Major topics include the atomic structure of matter, chemical bonding, functional groups, biomolecular structure, intermolecular interactions, chemical reactions (with an emphasis on metabolic processes), chemical equilibria, kinetics, aqueous solutions, and acid/base reactions.
