ATHT 510 Athletic Training Clinical Experience I

The first clinical experience is an opportunity for students to experience a traditional and non-traditional athletic training setting, the student-preceptor relationship, and clinician-patient interactions. Throughout the curriculum, clinical experiences provide space for implementation of learned skills, practice of all aspects of patient-centered care, and development of professionalism, critical thinking and evidence-based medicine skills. Additional emphasis will be on professional communication with preceptors and patients and inter-professional collaboration within a broader healthcare team. This experience will require a minimum of 180 contact hours.
