ATHT 640 Athletic Training Clinical Experience IV

The fourth clincial experience is fully immersive and may be completed in the geographic region of the students’ choice with approval of the director of clinical education.  Focus will be on progression to autonomous supervised practice, immersion in the day-to-day operations as experienced by the preceptor, and completion of guided learning opportunities related to transition to professional practice.  Throughout the curriculum, clinical experiences provide space for implementation of learned skills, practice of all aspects of patient-centered care, and development of professionalism, critical thinking, and evidence-based medicine skills. The final immersive clinical experience is an opportunity for students to demonstrate proficiency in these areas. Consideration of course content will be undertaken from a faith-based perspective. This experience will require at least 240 hours.
