ENVS 216 Environmental Issues and Sustainable Solutions

Students engage interdisciplinary issues surrounding environmental sustainability. Examine society’s relationship with the ecological world and consider the Biblical response of stewardship to various environmental challenges. Study ecological challenges as a way of discovery and knowing. Examine ethics, economics and public policy as they relate to resource use, population growth, food production, pollution, biodiversity protection, energy consumption, and climate change. Discuss Judeo-Christian perspectives on environmental stewardship and consider ecosystems in our broader definition of the common good.
