GEOG 103 World Regional Geography
Students examine the world through the lens of geography’s impact on culture, language, religion, politics, gender, migration, economic and urban development, as well as international relations. Geography has a profound impact on humanity and its institutions, and this non-western human geography course employs the use of history and historical understanding to enrich student engagement with and analysis of the impacts of phenomena such as globalization, colonialism, and human-environment interactions on place, regions, and cultural landscapes. This course incorporates the Pennsylvania Academic Standards for Geography and Geography for Life: National Geography Standards to support engagement and learning.
