MUGE 101 Fundamentals of Music Theory

In this course, students will explore basic concepts used in the analysis and composition of music. Guided by lectures and course resources provided by the instructor, students will listen and analyze musical examples representing a wide range of musical styles and discuss their views. This course satisfies the General Education requirement for non-music majors, and also serves as a viable precursor to Music Theory I for music majors or minors with limited prior knowledge of theory.
