SOAN 285 Research Methods

This course covers both quantitative and qualitative research methods in the social sciences. Students will consider the philosophy of research, research design, hypothesis development, data collection and analysis. Students will learn skills of social science research including survey construction, interviewing, observation techniques and data collection and will learn to evaluate research done by others. Students will develop a significant research proposal.
