Statistical inference is the art of estimation and making decisions about populations based on sample data. This course is a second course in statistics building on concepts introduced in STAT 269, STAT 281 or STAT 291. Students will conduct inference using data from the following settings: one-sample, two-sample, one-way and two-way ANOVA, simple linear regression, and categorical data in one or more variables. Students will complete an applied project during the semester. Students learn to conduct analyses in Minitab. A scientific calculator with STAT mode is required.
