Messiah University is an accredited institution by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, 3624 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104. (267-284-5000) www.msche.org. The MSCHE is an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).

The Biomedical Engineering (BS) program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, under the commission’s General Criteria and Program Criteria for Biomedical Engineering.
The Civil Engineering (BS) program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, under the commission’s General Criteria and Program Criteria for Civil Engineering.
The Electrical Engineering (BS) program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, under the commission’s General Criteria and Program Criteria for Electrical Engineering.
The Mechanical Engineering (BS) program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, under the commission’s General Criteria and Program Criteria for Mechanical Engineering.
The Engineering (BS) program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, under the commission’s General Criteria with no applicable Program Criteria.
The Robotics Engineering (BS) program is not accredited. It will be reviewed for initial accreditation during the 2025-2026 academic year by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, under the commission’s General Criteria and Program Criteria for Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering.
As an active participant in current developments in higher education, the University also holds educational memberships in many organizations, including the Association of American Colleges and Universities, the Association of Independent Colleges and Universities of Pennsylvania, the Council of Independent Colleges, the Christian College Consortium, the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities, the National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities, and the Council for Advancement and Support of Education.
Messiah University will not impose any penalty, including the assessment of late fees, the denial of access to classes, libraries, or other institutional facilities, or the requirement that a covered individual borrow additional funds, on any covered individual because of the individual’s inability to meet his or her financial obligations to the institution due to the delayed disbursement funding from VA under chapter 31 or 33.
