Auditing a Course

Students who wish to attend a course but not receive University credit or a grade for their work may audit the course on a space-available basis. This option assumes students attend class regularly but are not required to complete course work or take exams (though they may opt to do so). A student must drop the course if they decide not to attend the course since the course appears on the transcript as an audit.  The option of auditing courses is open to both full-time and part-time students.  The audit grade mode is not available for Cross-Cultural courses and the non-lecture portion of a class, i.e. science labs. Note: Course audit credits will not count toward workload for financial aid purposes and full-time status. Auditing a course may impact student financial aid eligibility. Therefore, students are encouraged to contact the Financial Aid Office before registering to audit a course.
