COMM 359 Rhetorical Theory

This course surveys the history and major theories of rhetoric from its foundations in ancient Greece to more recent postmodern manifestations. Students will gain a conceptual framework for speaking and writing persuasively as well as evaluating the structure and function of rhetoric in society. Fulfills Writing in the major for the Broadcasting and Journalism, Communication, Film and Media Arts, and Public Relations majors.
