SPAN 101 Fundamentals of Spanish I

This introductory-level course develops students’ basic proficiency in Spanish language and culture. It develops students’ knowledge and ability to communicate orally and in writing in Spanish at the novice level; identify and produce grammatical structures and vocabulary at the novice level; demonstrate knowledge of Hispanic culture; and articulate connections between Christian faith and language study. Students with one year or less of high school language should register for 101.
