BIBL 259 Psalms and Wisdom Literature

This course examines ancient Israel's poetic expressions of worship and explorations of wisdom. Students will study the workings of Hebrew poetry and the religious concerns of the authors as they attempted to worship God, understand life, explain suffering, and find wisdom. The course also explores current uses and significance of Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, and Song of Songs.
