HIST 320 Reformation & E Modern Europe

A survey of the cultural, political, socio-economic, intellectual, and religious developments in Early Modern Europe. Major themes include Humanism, the Protestant Reformations, the Wars of Religion, the creation of the United Kingdom, and the Scientific Revolution. Special attention will be given to the relationship between social change and shifts in European intellectual life and spirituality.
