Mission
The Department of Biblical, Religious, and Philosophical Studies is a community of students and Christian scholars who specialize in biblical studies, religious history, philosophy, theology, world religions, and Christian ministry. Our goal is to model and encourage informed thinking about Christian faith and practice, the role of religion in the world, and fundamental issues of reality and human experience. We foster spiritual, theological, and philosophical reflection that enables individuals to develop and deepen Christian commitment, interpret matters of faith intelligently, minister to others with wisdom and compassion, enhance their effectiveness in virtually any career.
