OCCU 509 OT Process and Practice
This course is designed to address the three-phase occupational therapy process, including evaluation, intervention, and outcomes. The evaluation process (occupational profile & analysis of occupational performance) will include administering standardized and non-standardized assessments. Intervention plans, intervention implementation, and review will be explored. Teaching and learning theories and how they relate to OT practice will be reinforced, practiced and applied. Finally, students will learn different techniques to assess outcomes. Throughout the course, the students will have opportunities to practice skills, including assessment, intervention, outcomes assessment, and documentation of those processes.
