ENGR 323 Mechanics II

Develop advanced skills related to stress and strain associated with mechanical, structural, and geotechnical engineering. Determine the internal state of stress due to complex load and boundary conditions. Indeterminate analysis and stress transformations are included.  Calculate deflections for systems under various load conditions. Principles for design of mechanical/structural members are emphasized, including introduction to finite element analysis software and application of common failure theories.
