HDFS 411 Marriage & Family Therapy
The field of marriage and family therapy (MFT) is a thriving profession meant to develop competent practitioners with knowledge of individual, couple and family dynamics. This course introduces students to systems theory and foundational concepts of family therapy. The course examines the historical context of current therapy-related issues as well as emergent trends in family therapy, from a Christian, integrative perspective. Students considering MFT or counseling as a possible career path will gain valuable knowledge of various pathways into the profession.
