SOAN 342 Race and Gender in the United States

An introduction to key topics related to race and gender such as identity formation, work, family, sexuality, violence, class stratification, and religious orientation. This course draws from the analytical framework of intersectionality to consider the dual realities of oppression and privilege in American society as they pertain to race and gender.
