NURS 709 Advanced Family Nursing Practice for Women's Health

This course focuses on the family nurse practitioner role in addressing women's health throughout the lifespan in regard to health promotion, disease prevention, early detection of health problems, and treatment and management of acute and chronic health conditions. Key points include the role of gender in healthcare policy, pharmacologic therapies for women's health conditions, Healthy People recommendations for eliminating women's healthcare disparities, and the use of evidence-based practice to inform the treatment and management of women's healthcare issues.
