PHTH 630L Lab: Human Movement

Lab-immersive experiences will utilize real-life experiences and common movement tasks of human motion. Functional tasks will be analyzed and deconstructed into fundamental movement patterns and meaningful regional impairments. Practical skills that are critical to physical therapy examination will be applied using both models and human bodies during focused, student-centered learning activities. These skills include, but are not limited to the following: palpation of relevant bony landmarks, observational posture examination, observational gait analysis/deviations, fundamental movement assessment procedures, movement behavior / task analysis applied to common daily activities. Technology will be leveraged to expand applications to movement analysis.
