PHTH 801 Professional Leadership and Advocacy
In this course, students will discuss professional issues facing the modern physical therapy practitioner, including ethical decision making, state and national current physical therapy issues, and legislative efforts. Students will examine evolving roles of professional leadership affected by such factors as changing societal demands, trends in health care, government regulations, and the expanding body of knowledge. Professional, ethical and social advocacy issues will be addressed. These experiences will prepare students for leadership roles as change agents in the profession.
