APHS 310 Elite Athletic Performance

The course will utilize students' backgrounds in biomechanics and exercise physiology to examine training methods and models that facilitate sport performance at the elite level. Profile characteristics of elite athletes will be presented as well as the relationship between inherited and acquired capacities responsible for elite performance. Attention will also be given to ways that technology is currently being used to enhance elite athletic performance.
