ART 352 Digital Photography

This course explores digital image and motion capture by using Digital SLR cameras as an aesthetic tool and conceptual thinking process in the contemporary practice of fine art photography. Students will gain an extensive understanding of various image capture file formats, digital workflow and editing, and creative camera controls, with in-depth imaging software skills using various digital software and tools. Areas of investigation will also include photographic printing techniques, applying printing materials into photo-based formats, and incorporating digitally captured files into various emerging creative contexts. Historical and contemporary issues related to photography will also be explored.
