CHEM 103 Chemical Science

This course prepares students to become allied health or sustainability professionals. It focuses on the importance of understanding the principles of chemistry and their application in the health or environmental sciences. Relevant topics include the periodic table, chemical bonding, stoichiometry, chemical equilibria and molecular structure, and properties of organic and biological molecules. In the laboratory, students learn how to conduct and analyze simple investigations that illustrate the chemical concepts encountered in class.
