CHIN 101 Fundamentals of Chinese I

This beginner-level Chinese course uses an innovative curriculum to develop students’ basic Chinese proficiency in all four language skills of speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Helping students to achieve the 5 language learning goals (Communication, Cultures, Connections, Comparisons and Communities), this course adopts a communicative approach to encourage students to use the language in authentic contexts. Upon successful completion of this class, students will be able to carry out simple conversations with native Chinese speakers.
