COMM 319 Sports Journalism

This course examines the theory behind and the practices of sports journalism. We will examine facets of print, online and sports broadcasting. This will include play-by-play, interviewing, anchoring sportscasts, blogs and podcasting. The history of sports journalism and sports broadcasting will also be examined. A hands-on approach will be stressed, although a mastery of the theoretical components will also be measured.
