HDFS 386 Family Ethnicity & Human Services

Students discuss the main cultural values, life cycle transitions and patterns of family interaction found among the most predominate American ethnic/racial minority groups in the United States. Examine issues of racism, acculturation, and ethnic identity development, as well as the role that cultural sensitivity and competency plays in the assessment and delivery of human services.
