HEBR 205 Fundamentals of Hebrew I

This course equips students with the skills needed to begin reading and translating biblical Hebrew. It introduces students to basic terminology used in the study of biblical Hebrew and emphasizes the memorization of frequently recurring Hebrew words. Students learn the basic phonemes and morphemes of biblical Hebrew, and they obtain a basic understanding of Hebrew grammar. Select portions of the Hebrew Bible are translated.
