HEBR 206 Fundamentals of Hebrew II

This course advances students’ ability to read and translate biblical Hebrew proficiently. Emphasis is placed on mastering the essential verb paradigms in the Qal stem and being able to recognize the distinctive markers of derived stems. Students expand their knowledge of frequently recurring Hebrew words and learn introductory matters of Hebrew syntax. Select portions of the Hebrew Bible are translated.
