HIST 352 African-American History Since 1865

Explore the experiences of African Americans from the abolition of slavery to the present. See both the rich and varied experiences of Black people and the ways in which they played important roles in the history of the nation. Consider both the challenges that Black Americans posed to the political and social order and the value of Black culture for its own sake. Examine the monumental civil rights movement of the mid-20th century and enter into the debate: Where do we go from here?
