PHTH 656L Lab: Therapeutic Interventions

This course introduces students to the foundational concepts and principles necessary to apply therapeutic interventions used in physical therapy practice. Content emphasizes the physiological principles, clinical applications, indications, contraindications, and safety considerations associated with each intervention. Focus is placed on the safe and effective use of intervention management strategies to promote tissue healing, modulate pain, restore function, and optimize movement. Through lecture, lab, and case-based learning, students will develop the knowledge and hands-on skills necessary to select, apply, and evaluate interventions based on patient presentation, clinical goals, and evidence-based practice.
