Sport and Performance Psychology (M.S.)

Program Learning Outcomes

1. Students will explain and synthesize the foundational concepts associated with effective sport and performance psychology.

2. Students will evaluate and engage in scholarship in the field of sport and performance psychology.

3. Students will demonstrate the psychological interventions essential for helping clients improve performance in sport or other disciplines.

4. Students will articulate how faith, religion, and spirituality relate to sport and performance psychology with a particular emphasis on principles of Christian faith.

5. Students will demonstrate ethical practices in sport and performance psychology that are grounded in professional and spiritual values.

6. Students will identify and address issues of discrimination, privilege and oppression and their impact on the practice and policies of sport and performance psychology in a multicultural society.
