Objectives
Upon graduating from Messiah University with a major in the Department of Business students should:
- Possess leadership, critical thinking, problem solving, and decision-making skills;
- Demonstrate effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication;
- Work effectively in teams;
- Have an appreciation of information technology and be competent in computer use and in computer-related problem-solving;
- Be able to understand and analyze financial statements;
- Understand the legal environment of business and be familiar with the primary laws regulating the typical business operation;
- Have an understanding of the opportunities and implications of globalization for U.S. business and the world community;
- Have a Christian faith-based approach to moral decision-making and an awareness of ethical issues common in the workplace;
- Be prepared academically for graduate study;
- Have developed a biblical work ethic, matured in Christian character and faith, and committed themselves to the stewardship of God’s creation.
