EDME 559 Science Curriculum and Instruction

Examination of specific methods, research, curricula, use of technology/media, and safety considerations for teaching science. Course format consists of activities, projects, and discussion with framework provided by lecture. Integration of content, identification of valid content resources, application of technology, creativity and problem solving are emphasized. Course design is based on Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and National Science Teaching Association (NSTA) recommendations for preparing teachers to teach science.
