OCCU 562 Level I Fieldwork: Pediatric Practice

In this course, students will use knowledge and skills learned in OT Process: Pediatric Practice and Common Conditions courses and apply the occupational therapy process with children and youth. Students will practice observation and interpersonal skills and relate didactic coursework to the clinical fieldwork experience while developing an understanding of the client's needs in a pediatric setting. Students will demonstrate emerging clinical reasoning skills and an understanding of the OT process through directed observations, supervision by a fieldwork educator in a practice environment, simulations, and/or debriefing. This course prepares students for Level II Fieldwork.
