Academic Petitions

Students requesting an exception to an academic policy complete the “Academic Policies Petition” from the Office of the Registrar’s website. Your advisor and department chair review the petition and it goes to the Registrar’s Office. The Registrar’s Office notifies the student of the decision via email.

Students requesting an exception or substitution for a General Education requirement complete the “General Education Petition” from the Office of the Registrar’s website. Your advisor and department chair review the petition and it goes to the Registrar’s Office and/or the Dean of General Education, Common Learning, & Academic Support. The Registrar’s Office notifies the student of the decision via email.
