TESOL Certificate

 

Certificate Overview

This undergraduate TESOL Certificate follows the guidelines established by the International TESOL Organization; the certificate is awarded by Messiah University.

A TESOL certificate provides additional employment opportunities abroad, or for non-profit, or government, or international agencies. 

 

Program Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of the TESOL certificate, students can:

  1. Apply theories and concepts of language acquisition and culture into their teaching practice.
  2. Effectively plan, implement, assess, and manage instruction in a TESOL classroom.
  3. Construct a philosophy of TESOL teaching based upon both practice and research.

Courses completed for a certificate require a grade of 'C' or higher.
