ENGR 344 Construction Methods and Materials

Develop core competencies in three civil engineering areas - construction engineering management, construction materials, and surveying. The construction engineering management unit includes project delivery methods, estimating, and economics considerations. The construction materials unit includes concrete, steel, wood, asphalt, and geosynthetic material characteristics. The surveying unit covers basic leveling and traversing methods and introduces modern total station techniques.
