PHIL 362 Science, Knowledge, and the World

Students will engage with key thinkers regarding how science works and gains knowledge of the world, along with its limitations. They will also engage with views regarding what science tells us about reality – for example, in contemporary physics and evolutionary biology – and/or the ethical and social-political implications of science, such as artificial intelligence. Throughout, the interrelationships between the Christian faith and science will be front and center. Students should expect to gain the ability to logically analyze key philosophical issues and thinkers as they relate to science and the Christian faith.
