SOWK 475 Social Work Practice with Communities and Organizations

This course is the fourth class offered in the practice series and is an integral part of generalist social work practice. It is designed to develop the skills and abilities of students to practice macro social work. The primary focus will be on the interrelationships between the environment, agency structures and general service delivery systems. Students will develop specific community organizing and networking skills. A strong component of this course will focus on program evaluation and community assessment and intervention.
