SOWK 545 Generalist Social Work Practice with Families

This course in the generalist practice series begins to develop specific helping skills for generalist social work practice. Topics include the problem-solving model, interprofessional collaboration, and interviewing, assessment, treatment planning and evaluation skills. Family developmental issues will be addressed. The primary focus of this course will be the development of a knowledge base and the skills necessary to provide social work intervention at the mezzo level, especially with diverse families-at-risk.
