SOWK 620 Advanced Social Work Practice with Individuals and Families
This course builds upon the theory and skills learned in human behavior, the generalist practice courses, and is applied in the field practicum. This course addresses the theoretical perspectives used in advanced social work practice with individuals and families across the lifespan as well as builds competency in the use of specific evidence-based practice models and interprofessional collaboration. The focus is on providing a solid grounding in engagement, assessment, treatment planning, and intervention skills and strategies that are culturally responsive and relevant to current social work practice with diverse populations in varied contexts.
