SOWK 630 Advanced Social Work Practice with Organizations and Communities
This course builds upon the theory and skills learned in human behavior, the generalist practice courses, and is applied in the field practicum. The course addresses the theoretical perspectives used in advanced social work practice in organizations and communities as well as builds competency in leadership and the use of specific evidence-based models of organizational and community change and interprofessional collaboration. The focus is on providing a solid grounding in culturally responsive engagement, assessment, intervention, and evaluation skills and strategies aimed at macro-level systems.
