POLI 334 Polling and Public Opinion

The formation, measurement and expression of public opinion serves as a cornerstone to modern democratic government. In this course, students will explore the ways that individuals, including themselves, form opinions on political issues with attention to political psychology and sociology. Through the study of methods for gathering and interpreting public opinion, students will evaluate the role of the public within American democracy, including its effect on government decisions.
