ENGR 443 Geotechnical Engineering

Study the engineering principles relating to soil properties and apply them to geotechnical engineering solutions. Consider soil structures, index properties, soil classification, permeability, strength, compaction, consolidation, soil testing procedures, and soil stresses. Apply those concepts to design related to slope stability, retaining walls, and bearing capacity of shallow foundations.
